"I eat brown rice instead of white rice, because its healthier..." How many of you have said that statement?🙋♂️ Don't worry, even trainers Andy & Tom have said that once upon time during their fitness journeys.
While on paper brown rice may seem the healthier option, when looking at the bigger picture the health benefits aren't nearly as exciting as you may think.
Many will argue that due to its higher fibre content that makes brown rice "healthier" for you, however, you would be far better off getting your fibre intake from fruits and vegetables which are of a much higher fibre quality.
ALSO, this may come as a surprise to you, but white rice typically contains fewer calories than brown rice per portion😲.
So, which should you be eating? Well, honestly, it doesn't really matter, and that's kind of our point. Which do you prefer to eat? White or Brown? Whatever your answer, eat that!!
The more you enjoy your diet, the more likely you are to adhere to it and thats the most important thing. Stick to the basics rather than stressing whether you should be eating white or brown rice.
