How to find the perfect online fitness program

What to look for or what’s best for you when looking for an ONLINE Programme isn’t easy. There are many different options out there but just which one? Well, let us help you understand what you need and what to look out for.

What is an Online Fitness Program?

Online programming is all your fitness needs delivered straight to your phone that can be accessed from anywhere, anytime. With detailed sessions plans, sets + reps and even videos to help guide you through every single session. Online programmes can be offered across a wide variety of workout types including cardio, strength training, yoga, and much more.

What are the Pros and Cons of an Online Programme?

Pros:

  • Convenience: Online programming can be accessed from anywhere with an internet connection via your phone, making it easy to fit workouts into a busy schedule.

  • Cost-effective: Online programming is often less expensive than in-person fitness classes or personal training sessions due to you taking control while still having plenty of guidance via your app.

  • Variety: With a wide range of programs available online, users can choose from a variety of options and decide which works best for them.

  • Flexibility: Online programming offers users the flexibility to work out at their own pace and on their own schedule around a busy lifestyle.

Cons:

  • Lack of personalisation: Online programming is generally designed to cater to a more advanced audience, which means if you’re NEW to fitness then finding a more personal/face-to-face approach could be the best starting point tailored to your more specific needs as an individual.

  • Limited equipment: Online programming is targeting larger groups of people all using a variety of different gyms meaning each setup is different. Many will provide variations to what to do if something isn’t available but you as the user may need to adapt around the kit and space you're using.

  • Some programmes will lack the interaction you would certainly gain in-person. If you’re ok working out by yourself knowing someone is there from a far then it’s still a good option for you.

How much does Online Programming Cost?

The cost of Online programming can vary widely. Some programs may be as little as £10 (pm), while others may go up to around £150 (pm). The cost of a program may also depend on the level of personalisation and the equipment required. It's important to consider the cost when choosing a program, but also to remember that the cheapest option may not always be the best and right one for you and what you need.

Two online functional fitness programs that we offer

Here at SweatIT we offer 2 different Online programmes to cater to 2 slightly different crowds. Whether you’re a competitive athlete or looking for some focused guidance then the TEAM behind SweatIT have comprised two programmes optimising your athletic performance. Each offering directions of what to do every single time you enter the gym. We created these programs with 2 goals in mind and each is targeted at moving each individual towards these goals all while completing them within the group with LIVE leaderboards and interactions from the whole community.

COMPETE :

For the Athlete with the desire to compete again or driving towards their first competition. You’ll be building strength, aerobic capacity, all while adding in additional gymnastic-based movements to prime you ready for the competition floor.

BUILD :

Who are Our Functional Fitness Programs for?

Our functional fitness programs are designed for anyone who is looking to improve their overall fitness and health, while developing the skills to further a current sporting endeavour or explore functional fitness competitions. If you’re just starting out then we’d generally advise the BUILD which focuses more on getting our participants strong and fit for other sports or more entry-level events.

For those who have the desire to explore more advanced movements or events then our more in-depth COMPETE programme is more suited. But both include enthusiasts who want to better and test themselves on a weekly basis.. Both programmes offer a variety across the week from 4-5 sessions running between 60-90 minutes.

Whether you’re an everyday or advanced-level athlete, we have a training programme to suit you.
